I'll start off this off with I think internet petitions are stupid and some of that stupid generally wears off on the people that sign them so I don't actually think there should be a Super Street Fighter IV petition, but:

So when Left 4 Dead 2 got announced, it was awesome and unexpected.  We were getting new campaigns, new main characters, updates to the AI director that fixed problems, new weapons, new medium infected, and new special infected that totally changes the way you play.

That's awesome.

But the internet being the way it is people weren't happy and when you aren't happy people seem to think it's worthwhile to bitch and make a petition so they did.

I don't feel like getting into that but now just looking at Super Street Fighter IV (forgive me for being al ittle late on this) it's a new stand alone game that will be releasing probably about a year after Street Fighter IV that includes 8 new characters and some tweaking that Capcom and the community wanted.

So I have to ask: where's the Super Street Fighter IV petition?

You know there are people unhappy about having to buy Street Fighter IV again but I'm actually surprised I haven't seen a petition yet.  Do Street Fighter fans just expect to be milked for every cent or are Left 4 Dead fans just being too big of babies?

tho 8 characters is better than before

i had to buy a few versions of sf2 for my snes and genesis

first got it on snes, then had to play as bosses so got it on genesis, then needed the 4 new guys so i got it on snes again

at least this time i dont own the original yet so i can just buy this

meh, Super Street Fighter Turnbo HD Remix Mania Hyper fighting Alpha Champion's Edition 3rd strike VS whoever has been done to death before, fans should have seen this coming.

Will SSFIV players be able to play with original SFVI players?

1. There's been no confirmation by Capcom exactly how many new characters, stages, costumes, gameplay tweaks, balancing issues, improved online multiplayer and gameplay modes we can expect.

2. It's not going to be full price.

3. Anyone that owns Street Fighter IV and buys this release will supposedly get some sort of surprise.

4. It's coming out 20-22 months after SFIV's release, not 12.

I don't think this warrants a petition, or even the anger involved to want to start one. We don't know what we'll be getting yet. Also what exactly does everyone think a sequel to a fighting game usually is anyways? What exactly was the difference between Tekken and Tekken 2? Virtua Fighter and Virtua Fighter 2? What about the new BlazBlue: Continuum Shift? You get some new characters, some gameplay tweaks, etc. and they call it a day. For the sake of the argument, let's say the game costs $40. Would you rather pay $40 for DLC that requires SFIV to play or would you rather be offered a standalone disc so you can sell your old SFIV altogether?

This makes alot of sense, i agree now that you put it that way. except i think it might launch at $30 instead.

I'm upset but I don't bitch. I love the game but I'm not going to buy a stand alone game with the expansion unless there's a deal with a trade in.

Not that I'm interested in the new characters but I do want to pwn every single one of them online with Crimson Viper.

I think its underhand but I won't bitch, I just know now not to buy games on release week anymore.

Capcom never promised anything
