No other update besides shutting off homebrew?
No download, come on, at least add in something.

I own all of lastgen systems as of October 2008. (Finally got a Dreamcast)
I own every currentgen system except PS3.

still never tried homebrew
id like them to add to the next update some kind of recently played games list, so we can make proper wii gamercards.
I just found why they update this firmware, this will protect softmod/hardmod Wii from buy Wii point from shop channal.
It will ask you to update new firmware to 4.2 before buy WiP in Shop channal.if you do so and you using modded Wii.It'll detect and prevent you from...? I don't know, TC didn't say what happen after that.

So if you mod Wii(US) and want to buy WiP for play MH3 or buy games, you gotta find somehow to solve this problem.(Which i don't know.)
As this fw arrived almost in the same day that MH3 released show how much Nintendo care about this game.
I think we will see more Nintendo's support for this game in the future.(maybe also included other games too.) :3
I will confirm that it does completely remove HomeBrew Channel from the Wii system memory and uninstall it from the main menu
Haven't checked on whether or not it deletes any applicable files off the SD card yet.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
Doesnt do anything but remove HBC.... I dont plan on updating, i like playing DVDs on my Wii and having the option of playing region locked games. I know a lot of people use HB for....other, less respectable reasons, but untill i get something that i want from an update i dont see why i should lose features.
