Forums - Microsoft - Turn 10 responds to Forza III graphics complaints

Did Turn 10 really need to comment against fanboy comments on forums??

Obviuosly 360 owners will say it's amazing, and PS fans will say it's not.

They didnt need to worry. The only 2 media impressions written comparing the 2 at TGS09 are saying Forza 3 has better graphics. So they should have just let the fanboys have their say. The majority of naysayers haven't played it anyway.

The guy basicly admited the player car doesn't look as good as the shots released.

I think people say FM3 doesn't look much better than FM2 because they pay attention only to the cars, and even then I disagree. With an HDTV, there is a noticeable difference.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

It's mostly the 360 owners bitching on the official forums not PS3 fans. All they ever do is want-want-want and cannot appreciate the huge graphical leap from 2 too 3 that is right in front of them.

@Kowen. I think it's the fact they were using photomode and saying it was gameplay that's got people riled up i.e they made the gameplay graphics seem better than they actually were. Not doctured screenshots, but not true gameplay either. Ver sneaky way they worded it too.

Those who say it's not a big step up from Forza 2 and not 60fps in car view really have no idea what they're talking about. Yes Turn 10 are to partly blame for over hyping but we've only seen one demo track and it still looks crisp and smooth. What's really going to be amazing about FM3 is the physics engine for the hardcore, the accessibility and fun for the casual racing fan and the custom decal designs for all the innovative designers out there showing off their artwork to the (expected) large and vibrant FM3 online community. FM2 had all of this and was amazing. FM3 will do it so much better. All of this THIS October people! I'd be gutted if Turn 10 delayed it for another year.

Don't blame the PS fans when a lot of 360 fans are the ones saying they are dissapointed with the demo.  You can't play the forza 3 demo on a PS3.  I think the game will be good for a lot of 360 owners out there.

I actually thought the graphics were sub par when placed up against the screenshots we all saw, but then again, what I saw should not be taken as fact since I was also playing on an SD TV. That having been said, I really don't think anybody playing on an SD TV Should be commenting on how horrible the graphics were, because they cannot get the full experience. So, I reserve my final comments until I have a chance to play on a HD TV.

What he was saying was in photomode the player car had some enhancements. Then invited you to look at the other cars in photomode shots. Where he further points to obviously not that much as the other cars basically look the same as the player car in photomde screenshots.

Also that apart from that, there is no detail added what so ever to the game in photomode or Replay. AA and motion blur are added, but all the textures, draw distance etc etc is exactly the same as gameplay.

Like I said media already said FM3 was more impressive so why comment against fanboys on the net?

Honestly people that are as worried about the graphics as some people on these forums should go build a gaming rig and play a real PC racing simulator. You can play this game for what? $US250? Stop complaining..

I wish I had the money to put a Racing Sim Rig in my basement "man cave".  Unfortunately they cost a shit ton for a decent one.  Over 2k not counting the monitors/console and stearing wheel/pedals.
