You need atleast a 80 gb so you won't run out of space in a couple of months.

Yeah,it's a good deal and if hard drive is upgradable then i'll go for it.

And for the games a few comments would be welcome

40gb lasted me about 3 months before I started having to shuffle stuff. And you never want to delete the installs incase of a sudden urge to play a specific game.

However if the 40gb is the cheapest you can get then go for it. Hard drives are cheap and 320gb is very affordable now and soon 500gb+ will be very soon.

As for games you picked great MP ones already (but a little bit for FIFA10 its slightly better).

PS: Get Disagea 3 aswell if you like SRPGs.

Really depends.
If the deal is much better on the 40gb than on anything else you can get, go for it IMO. You can upgrade the hdd later on if you find yourself running out of space, and hdds are only getting cheaper.

After a year I'm still at below 40gb (of my 80) but 1. I buy few PSN games and 2. I mostly stick to one game until I'm done with it and then don't go back to it until much later (if it was good), so removing an install isn't really bothersome since I wouldn't need it for months (and 3. I don't put video files on it, prefer direct HDMI connection or PS3 media server from PC).

Great choice on VC, from the rest I only have BlazBlue and it's great online (and even offline).

NO WAY! 40 is tiny. I have 250 and have about 60 left!

I do use my PS3 as my main multimedia station, tho and have over 400 CD's and about 20 PSN games, not to mention all my saves, installs and previews, etc, etc. The bigger the better.

40GB is not enough.. I am down to 75GB, and im using a 120GB HDD, so thats 45GB

If the PS3 is your 2nd or 3rd console, you will be fine. If you intend to do even 1/2 of your gaming with it, a 40GB is only enough if you plan on changing out the hard drive with a bigger one.
