His supposed ''anti-Sony behaviour'' (which IMO has been greatly exaggerated) has nothing to do with Metal Gear Solid 4 though.

There are a lot of longtime MGS fans that were bitterly disappointed with MGS4, and I thought most of his complaints were quite valid. Personally, it's my least favourite game in the series by far, and I dare somebody to try and tell me that I have an anti PS3 bias.

I say we drop the entire subject. The Metal Gear Solid series is on his favourite games list in his profile for crying out loud.

Well I've no problems with people rating games with how they see it but when they take points off for stupid things then I'm like WTF. Yeah fair enough, you's didn't like the story compared to the other 3. Very understandable. But why didn't yous say that in your original post. Theres not enough gameplay and online lags.

Someone said you posted bad things about the PS3 a few months back. So I checked your post's from around the time MGS4 released and you sure have changed your tune about the game. Sometimes first impressions speak loader than anything else.

Rating a game down because it's 2 hours long is dumb. You've got RE5 as your sig. I thing that game deserves a 9.5/10. I would never dream of taking points off that game because I finished it in 1h 54 minutes on my own with dumb AI which is were that half a point was lost and when you look at the leaderboards of RE5. People finished that in 1 h with a human Co-op partner

MGS4 isn't "two hours long", since playing it in two hours means you just did a speed-run.

For example, someone finished LoZ:LttP in a little over a hour and a half.
Is that an one-and-a-half hours game?

Yeah I believe every game that has been in the ranking games has gotten the scores they deserve.  Vgchartz is very good at giving average scores  (excluding the fanboys of course)

Story 10/10

From Metal Gear, to Metal gear Solid 4, Guns of the patriots, the way that the games all string together in the storyline are simply amazing, no other game has been like this in the video game industry.

Graphics 10/10

There is only one word to describe it all, realistic. The cinematic scenes make it feel like a movie, and an amazing feature in the game, is being able to play, while a cinematic goes on to the right your screen.

Camera (Point of view) 7/10

The problem wasn't the camera in the game, but the camera online. The zoomed out 3rd person view with online mode just doesn't seem to work, an over the shoulder camera would've worked much better online.

Gameplay 10/10

The gameplay is so great it feels like a arcade fighting game. There are so many options to dispose of an enemy, so many ways to customize many different guns. And the revamped camouflage and radar system was easy to use and understand.

Online 10/10

Simply the fact that the Metal Gear series has online capabilities deserves a 10/10, the game modes in online are clever, and the character customization is unique, the use of CQC was spectacular in the use of killing an opponent, as well as hiding in the cardboard box, or new Drum Can, waiting for your enemy to pass by. If I could give Online a 11/10 I would, cause it deserves it.

All in all, MGS4, Guns of the Patriots scores a 10/10, The camera in online was the only fault, and it was only a slight one, everything else makes up for it. To wrap it up in general, MGS4 has probably the most amazing and edge-of-your-seat storyline in video game history. Its graphics are lifelike and will have you comparing it to yourself. The 3rd person camera has always worked for the Metal gear series, where it usually doesn't work for others, the online 3rd person had a fault though, being able to look around corners, possibly to see people hiding. The gameplay was the best of all the series so far. The choices you could make and customization was incredible. The online capability, taking in many elements from the main game was ingenious, the character customization was something no one would've thought about. Metal Gear Solid 4, Guns of the Patriots. In my eyes, the best game of all time.
