The hype is big, but it wont reach 10 mln unless sony bundles it a lot in all regions. Although the prologue for gran turismo 4 only sold around 700k.

My guess would be 8 mln, best exclusive so far. The releasedate is working against it, they should have done a christmas release.

Metsadah - it`s because GT3 or GT4 was released on Christmas? Or maybe MGS4, which still sold around 5 mln. according to Konami.
If game is good, it will sell a lot in long term. Uncharted sold something like 150k first week, but now the game is on the way to 3 mln. or maybe even more, after Uncharted 2 release.

Only one game in the whole series sold over 2 mil in Japan and it was GT1. So GT5 will suddenly renew everyone's interest for the series in Japan and sell over 2 mil there.

For some reason, I find it hard to believe. It just seemes... illogical.

Well if PSPGo's GT release figures are anything to go by GT5 will really struggle to reach 6 mill

and if you think there any corrolation between the two then i feel sorry for you.

by the way GT5p just back handed you in the face and said loook at my sales before posting.

yeah i dont see gt5 selling that great either. ps3's install base is low compared to when the series used to sell great numbers on ps2.

when people list high life to date numbers, you start getting into bundles and bargain bin sales and greatest hits sales...those are not as much revenue to the publisher. if gt5 sells 10 or 15 mil, i bet most will be bundles/greatest hits/bargain bin sales over several years.

but not 15M

I see GT5 selling over GT4 numbers, but nowhere near the 15M mark. All indicators, when in comparison to what GT4 did and the circumstances around it point to that. Plus GT5 is also competing in the same conditions that GT3 had at the time GT3 released, the main difference is that there is an actual competition to the game nowadays, so that's why I don't see GT5 doing 15M. But over 10M? sure.
