Stealth can be useful quite a lot, particularly if you go Assassin.
How do Consulars raise their defenses?

True, but usually you'll have someone to cover that particular skill. And dropping a single point into a skill can be enough - some of the skill bonuses (boni?) you get from items are completely insane.
Also - has anyone managed to do the lightsaber sparring sequence with Visas and get something out of it?
EDIT: Not necessarily Consulars, in particular (though they'll have an easier time getting the Speed-Valor-Armor line powers fully upgraded), but male characters - you can learn Battle Precognition from sparring with Handmaiden, which adds your WIS bonus to your defense. By the end of the game, that can mean up to 15-20 points of DEF, if you build your WIS up, upgrade the Yourname Crystal of Ridiculous Cheese and get lucky with the item drops.

True, the Watchman/Assassin sneak attack is basically an "I win" button for one on ones, but I was referring to opening up dialogue options. As far as I can recall, Sneak is the only one that never gives you something new to say/do.
Actually, that's wrong. I believe Demolitions doesn't either, although that skill does let you make certain goodies at the workbench. Nothing worthwhile until the very end, of course, but man are those few worth the while.

At the workbench and in-game, yeah, but I believe your character has to have those skills himself to open up the dialogue options. Right? I'm pretty sure about that, but I'm not 100% positive.
As for your question, I barely left Telos, so I can't say just yet. I should get Visas soon though.
Gah i keep getting random Hang errors as i try to leave the planet to Dantoine.
It happens rarely during cutscenes... but that whole thing is like... 6 cutscenes.

Uhhhh..... Hm.
Anything about it on their forums?

Not that i could find... after screwing around with it a while i got it to work by running compatability mode... though it had some graphic issues. Ah well not enough of a problem to mar the game.
I did end up giving up on guns. Mostly because i misunderstood the feat for one handed weapons.
I thought it was for one weapon not one handed. I spent more in that then i did in ranged skills.

Finally done with Narr Shadaa.
Boy I hope that HK-50s will show up in other places too
I so badly want to see how HK-47 reacts to them

Oh yeah, something you should know:
Talk to HK-47 about the translation module you got from Peragus as soon as you can. In order to unlock the glitchy but highly awesome (and tough) HK Factory, you need to show the voice module to him, and then take out three HK squads .
I'm currently at Telos/Ravager, will probably finish my first run today unless I run into any fatal bugs. The endgame has been quite epic thus far, and I'd wager it'll just get better from here.

I did indeed ask him about it right off the bat - I exhausted as many dialogue options as I could. I do love HK-47, you know.
So is the endgame somewhat more awesome than in the original iteration of the game?

Okay, good. :p I had beaten Dantooine before I remembered to do that - fortunately there are at least 1-2 HK squads per planet, so you most likely won't run out.
And yeah, it is. For one, Kreia's monologue on Dantooine has been expanded quite a bit, and some new stuff has been added for her as well. I can't wait to see what they managed to do at Malachor.
