Well is somobody's opinion. Even if he's part of IGN staff that doesn's change his pint of view, and yep more visits to his blog and flamewarz incoming.

Hmmm I don't agree with him but the last past years were quite boring though....It looks to be better though in the future.
Two games that caught my attention and are worthwile after SMG were Brawl and LKS.
seemed a lot of people agreed with him over there.

is this guy blind or what? don't make me start naming games but i will be here typing forever
@Simulacrum Gamecube? You cannot be serious. The gamecube probably has 30 worthwile games it's whole lifetime, I actually own more Wii games and have enjoyed more in half it's lifetime than I've did the Gamecube's whole life. Not only that, but the Wii has both the 1st party the Gamecube had, and MUCH better 3rd party support. Really...? Gamecube? I don't want to bash your opinion, but it seems to me that it has absolutely no basis. The Wii has the same games the gamecube had, more of them, and even games that the Gamecube would have never gotten. A better argument would be for the Snes, N64, and Nes, but Gamecube is really stretching it.
Man does this guy suck on a planetary level.
This is a guys opinion in a blog so what's the big deal? It seems he writes guides for IGN and not much else and has not written a review. There are people out there that don't care for the Wii except a few select games, that's why there are 3 different consoles. I know it's hard to believe but the Wii isn't for everyone. Wii fans need to be less sensitive about there console, it's doing fine and a BLOG won't change that.
Something "worthwhile" is highly subjective.
I just don't understand articles like these, if you don't like Nintendo franchises fine, but to say the Gamecube had a better library (or that the Wii is the anti -Gamecube/N64) just doesn't make sense to me. The Gamecube's best first party games, Zelda, Metroid, Mario, Smash Bros., Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, etc. have all already seen Wii sequels. Now that the system also has Wii Sports/Fit/Play though somehow those games don't count. Obviously the guy just wants traffic on his site, so thanks for copying the article so I didn't have to help with that.
Gamereviewers are always too concerned with what's new. Developers worry about this too.
Nintendo realizes that the average gamer owns 5-8 games for the Wiipretty much every console ever. They don't want the newest games. They want the best games.
What makes these editors "wrong" is that they are scaring away their market. If they don't have good Nintendo coverage, when a Wii-gamer goes to their site, they leave and don't come back.
50% install base, they should be working them to come to their site, not scare them away.
I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
