Forums - Sony - GT5 DAMAGE on ALL CARS confirmed by IGN

Btw, I've always loved Gran Turismo, I've played nearly all iterations of the franchise. Within the console world it was the only simulator worthy of the title. No other console racer was truly a simulation other than GT.

However this new Forza title looks wicked good, I just bout ODST at launch and love it but when the Forza demo came out a few days later it's dominated my gaming.

I'm probably going to pick both titles up when they release though. Especially since they'll be releasing around 5 months apart. Polyphony Digital however is being bush league and just stalling the game. If they wait long enough, how could the final product not be better than Forza, if you have all this time to look under the competitors hood and add accordingly.

Just release what you thought up in the brainstorming sessions and be done with it.

Can't wait for this game, sounds like they are making it as perfect as possible.

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)

Should I assume that the car damage will be well done? I remember reading the comments that no car damage was superior to having not well done car damage (this came up in the Forza vs Gran Turismo debates of the past).

I think this is going to be the first ever racing game I purchase.

Why?  Driving sims are a beast unto themselves, and I am not sure of the fun factor of doing one, unless you are into them.  I have multiple driving games I don't even play, because I am not much into driving games.  I guess it makes sense if you want to have A driving game, but why get into it now, if you aren't normally into it?

This game will be so awesome!!!

I for one, am a supporter that GT shouldn't have car damage.
That same excuse given that GT is way too easy because you can wall ride your way to victory is pure non-sense, as anyone who has played GT in depth will tell you.
No you can't beat the Special condition races in GT4 while wall riding since you get 5 second penalties each time you wall ride or hit another car, no you won't beat the professional and extreme races while wall riding, since the other cars will leave you in the dust, no you cannot beat endurace races while wall riding, because only two races in the entire endurance department are the only ones in city courses.

If they give full damage to the cars, knowing PD, I can guess that it will be a very good damage simulation, and it will only add to the reasons why GT fans love the series, and to those who play the game like it should, like every racer should, it would only add to our fun ;)

@CGI

Isn't delaying a game to see what the competition has and then adding accordingly a cheap thing to do though?
