Halo ODST wont move much hardware.very body who likes halo allready has a 360.
plus this game is only 5 hours long

A friend of mine told me it only took him 3 and a half hours to beat. It probably varies from person to person.

I doubt we'll see more than a +25% system sale boost from what 360 sold last week. Most people that are willing to buy ODST already have a 360 at this point.

If you play on Easy it may take you no time at all (look at his achivement list and see if he got the achievement for Heroic or Legendary), if you play on Legendary it's around 8, maybe more

Well, I will say what many already did: Only Halo fans will really be interested in getting ODST, and they need a 360 for that, but 10M Halo fans already have a 360, so don't expect much.

I don't know, but maybe the same could go for Forza 3 (As there was already a Forza for the 360) ? Just my opinion.

To all the people saying "no games from now will push HW"; GT5 & FF13 have yet to recieve full HD updates. These 2 games are in the same sales category as Halo 3, around 10 million sales. There are millions waiting in anticipation for these 2 games that haven't seen a sequel in over 4 years!

These 2 big hitters WILL PUSH HW, and anyone saying they won't is living in lalaland. Just look at what a demo did for FF13 in Japan and at the sales of the GT5 demo, which is well over 3 million, probably 4 if u count DDL!

Oh, and I believe once GOW I & Ii get a re-release in HD, it will help spread more word for that killer, too. Should move some HW.

Oh, and FF13 Verses (if it ever comes), as it should get a lot of 360 FF13 buyers picking up a PS3, and Rockstar North's; AGENT, a big "new" killer App. If RS can deliver more new big games that are exclusive to either platform, they too would push HW.

The 360 I see very little comming to push HW, tho. Natal could, if it works and is accepted, but that is a big "IF" at this stage, and maybe Alan Wake. See, most of the big games comming to the 360 are sequels to games that already sold very well, which will have the same affect as ODST in HW boosts IMHO.

ODST is a really good deal if you are a new 360 buyer and don't already have Halo 3. It has all the multi-player maps, and Halo 3 MP is probably going to be popular for as long as the 360 is around.

So I think hardware will shift extra ODST copies.

I disagree. MW2 fans already have a 360, PS3 or a PC. What is MW1 console sales now? 10/12 mill?

MW2 will have very little effect on HW for both HD consoles, as it is a current gen sequel to one of the strongest selling shooters ever. Similar effect as ODST is having now and what Halo Reach will most likely produce. Just my 2 cents.

It wont but itll be part of what keeps the 360s momentum going until early next year.

Halo + ODST bundle will get some PS3 and Wii owners in, Halo 3 is simply a beast and you can bet many new 360 buys buy the system for it.

Forza will again wont directly help hardware, but itll give it a shot in the arm for the holiday in Europe, a region that MS have always massively struggled, the game will be crucial for the remainder of the year to keep European interest.

As for GTA Episodes pack, similarly itll be a part of that momentum that will carry the 360 through to the end of the year.

As somebody said, MS simply cannot compete toe-to-toe with Sony. They have a bigger brand and more exclusives coming out as well as hardware that offers more value. Natal is going to go a long way for the 360 surviving the rest of the gen.
