I got ODST for $50.99, plus $15 credit on my next amazon game purchase, which makes the game cost only $35.99. Of course it hasn't arrived yet because I picked free shipping.....

Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.

@Kowenicki im glad your enjoying it. But for me its just not that great. There are WAY to much walking around to get from mission to mission for my taste. But personally my favorite Halo campaign was halo 2. The music and atmosphere were much more desperate feeling and painted a much better picture of the halo universe. But to each his own. Hope this game keeps you interested

The only thing that pissed me off is that I have to play the whole campaign over again while I already beat the level where you blow up the building.

I got disconnected from xbox live while I was playing, so I connected again and then it just stopped the game and I find myself in the game lobby.
Ok, I thought, nothing to worry about and clicked resume campaign. After the load screen I find myself in the first level again because that's the only level where I really saved because I played the rest of the game in one sitting.

I think you can imagine I was pretty annoyed about that.

^ wow thats ridiculous. Yeah ive gotten a few levels in but its proving very long and repetitive walking around the city trying to get from mission to mission. If i wasnt such an achievement whore i would have stopped playing a long time ago and probably never even bothered to play the whole campaign

garnett and l337 gamer. wtf you say odst is only 8 / 10 and better than halo 3 wtf god you must like terrible games. and firefight is awesome but yes i think the campaign was cheesy with the voice acting

Well i take it from this expression you liked halo ODST. Well im happy that you do but IMHO this game is super repetitive. And believe me im probably the biggest halo fan on this website (ive read all the books and played and beaten every single game on legendary and logged thousands of hours online) so it is with great regret that i feel this game has dissapointed me

1337 gamer r u a Sony fan? Why did u make this flame bait thread.

@Slimebeast look at his Avatar!

I played it at a friends house (I've a PS3, he has a 360) and my experience was mixed.

I thought the graphics looked better than Halo 3 and everthing 'felt' sweet about playing the game, both in SP and MP.

However, after a while we both felt that it didn't feel like it offered much more than Halo 3 itself due to that strong similarity.

The SP was fun but didn't seem as interesting or improved as say Gears 2 vs Gears 1, and the MP, while great, at the same time didn't seem to offer than much more than Halo 3.

The game is clearly very polished and plays terrific, but I can understand why some would feel it just doesn't add enough new elements from Halo 3 as you might hope.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

im rating it according to my opinion. you dont have to take it as fact. Halo has ALWAYS been about the Mulitplayer. A good campaign was just a luxury that ODST lacks and just for that its an average game in my opinion a crappy campaign plus Good Multiplayer equals out to average. Multiplayer carries the biggest weight for me

I stopped reading the OP after "cant even force myself to finish playing the second chapter the campaign".

You say it's not a good campaign and you haven't even finished the second level lol. The campaign is better then Halo 3's and Firefight is kickass with friends.

I'm having a blast with ODST, I would have easily paid £45 for it. (£35 over here)
