And it might have some easy tropies. At least it looks like it might. I'm not getting the game though but I might rent it just to try it out.

I'm watching videos and what not of it in "action" and I can't force myself to get excited for it. Sure the pet looks cute and what not but still...really...? We ditched Getaway3 (or eight days I forget which) for this? |
Oh please! You are repeating the same misinformed information as everyone else. Getaway 3 was cancelled because it was only in pre-production and the director of the game (Brendan McNamara) left Team Soho and founded Team Bondi.
Eight Days was just starting full production when they cancelled the game, and the only reason was because Sony (Shuhei Yoshida) wanted to re-organise their studios and focus more on what they lack rather than focusing on making another shooter.
London Studio is now completely focused on PSEye (+Motion Control), Home, Singstar, and more games along that line.
It looks exactly like the same type of game certain HD console owners say the Wii is embracing that will ruin the industry as we know it. Oh, when the shoe is on the other foot.
^ Does that mean it will be a huge Success!?

No. It means if I were to look over some post histories, I'm sure to find a few hypocrites in the bunch that are far too open to this game after having condemned them on the Wii and DS for the past few years.
Sony doesn't have the demographics to support this game the way Nintendo could. Depending on price, it'll sell as well as a third rate pet simulator on the DS.

If all Sony had for 2009 was EyePet, NewEye, Eye+ and SuperEye; each with a marketing compaign of $100 million, I would absolutely say that.
Let me guess, Male, Aged 18-20. Favourite games on the PS3 include Killzone 2, uncharted, MGS4. You're looking forward to GoW, Mag?
I don't think this game is aimed at you
