There was a lot of skepticism when this game was announced but seems like it ended quite well:

Well .... call me impressed. Iwas one of the non-believers in this title, maybe I'll get it .... after demon's souls.

According to reviews you should be getting this before Demon Soul, not the other way around :P

and an ugly drawing in 1080p will stay ugly forever..."
Haha, some of these reviewers are way too deep into Dead Space lore. Especially that guy at GamePro.

"The worst part about these reviews is they are [subjective]--and their scores often depend on how drunk you got the media at a Street Fighter event." — Mona Hamilton, Capcom Senior VP of Marketing

Right now I only played the first level of Dead Space Extraction. The reviews are totally right. There is much more storytelling than in your usual on-rail-shooter. I am still unsure, if this is a good thing. In past times I prefered the brainless shooting action without much story like in HotD Overkill or Ghostsquad or RE: UC.
I need to play some more levels to see if I also like this new style of on-rail-shooter.

Well, I've gone ahead and ordered the game. I was going to buy it anyway, but intended waiting until this game reached bargain price - but reading all those favorable reviews from venues which usually bash what I consider to be good Wii games have made me realize that some real effort has been put into making this game, and so it should earn my supprt at full price (of course if it weren't apparently a good game whose premise interested me I wouldn't buy it, suport or no support
)

"even if you aren't interested in the story, Extraction is still one of the best-looking and most fun action games on the Wii."

u know when i first bought my wii in may 2007 i was really upset but then i gradually become impressed as more third party titles came out and AAA first party but 2009 holiday and 2010 seems to be so good that its hard to believe it is happening. Like seriously so many good third party games....and so many are exclusives...well i would say most are exclusives...1 big problem with 360 and ps3 is that they share most of the titles..i love wii and ninty..
OT: might get this title sooner or later

GamePro, blegh. I'll never read another one of their Wii reviews. They have lost all credibility with me.
