Forums - Sony - Is the xmb dull? I think not.. but?

Im sure there are people that think differently than I do(im having a discussion with someone about it who is playing on an SD TV) but ever since 3.0 the XMB has been a magnificent looking interface, and at night it looks just god like. Now I need to compare it to something, so Im comparing it to the 360 dashboard, the Dashboard has its slides and its amazing background *of your choice* but it feels at times disorganized *market place especially* its  a completely integrated experience, but in comparison  "COLORS" matter most since it makes something go from being DULL to magnificent. So for you PS360 owners, is the XMB dull in compariso to the dashboard? I think both look stunning, but I definately go for the XMB in looks *especially at night, keep in mind I have a 1080p HD TV*

Now if only they weren't charging $3 for good ones. I don't want to pay money to see Sackboy running.

I think the XMB is fine and some of the 3.0 changes were nice. Seeing the new sparkle background with a dark blue background is just great on our HDTV. I didn't like the larger font change since I never had a problem with it on my TV and my other annoyance is that now if you stop moving, all the other icons will fade out until you start moving again.

I know, but I want something like Sackboy. The Wipeout one became rather boring after a short time.

Oh well, free official themes or user made standard themes it is.

LOL me too,  but I actually have a sackboy doll that tucks me in and not the XMB
