OK, a short story here so bear with me

I was out shopping with my friends and i went into to HMV for a look and they had a massive booth of PS3 stuff big screens showing adverts and this free magazine which showed information on different Playstation stuff such as the slim, PSP Go, exclusives like heavy rain, uncharted 2, GOW III and so on. I couldn't believe it there was free stuff and Playstation ads all over the Mall. Good Advertising or What?

hmv is the biggest music retailer in the uk, just search for it on wikipedia

Does HMV usually do this kind of marketing for consoles or is the first time you notice such a thing ?

HMV is big in Canada too, or at least Ontario. It mostly sells music, but some games and stuff too.

That's awesome though (back on topic) - plus they finally have some decent, and actually humorous TV ads like the Nigerian Millionaire one. Too bad they had to change that line it was hilarious.

here in Square One in Mississauga ontario they had that type of stuff for DSi and Wii. So when DSi launched they had all these posters everywhere on the walls some huge banners hanging on the ceiling and most stores who sold video games had free demo games to play on and stuff like that and i don't why but they also had that stuff for wii on the same day as the dsi advertisements so eveyr wall or ceiling space was either with wii or dsi. and for Wii they had this huge part of the mall dedicated to the wii/dsi near the food court where you could buy the system or buy the dsi and you could play it and get free brouchures and there was a free seperate magazine for wii and dsi where it had reviews of the main games for the system...

sorry for the off-topic part above but yeah this is good advertising by sony was there any advertisements for psp go or something...and where was this?
