Why do we have the two separate when they are the same exact game? That makes no sense, we dont have pocket monsters red and pokemon red separate because they are the same game on the same platform.

Probably it is a mistake.

There's a couple of mistakes like that in the database. There's also a couple of games with their Japanese and English names randomly mixed together to form a game that doesn't exist, games with literal Japanese translations instead of the official localized names, duplicates for the wrong platform, etc.

Wish I could do a bit more with games in the database.

They used to have to GoW2 divided into both "God of War 2" and "God of War II". It's just a mistake. Now that it's been brought to attention, I'm sure ioi will fix it soon.

if ioi would give me control to do crap with the game database id help keep things up to date and fix stuff.
