Obama deserves the metaphorical praise. It isn't directed at him per-say, but at the idea that this country which was founded with people like Thomas Jefferson (who thought blacks were genetically inferior, owned a hundred or so himself, and gave away slaves as gifts for his daughters wedding) could elect a black man.

Im creeped out by any kind of "people worship". That includes celebrities, politicians, and ministers.

Shit they didn't even make us do the pledge of allegiance when I was in school, and now suddenly people are making songs about the president? Creepy folks, fucking creepy.

It's really just far right spin - and motivated by god knows what. Folks are just sore losers, plain and simple.

That, or people want there idoligy to be right so badly, they can't see clearly.
