Forums - Gaming - Gameswire : GT5:P vs Forza 3 Demo in grfx.....GT5:P WINS!

@selnor

Honestly hey look so similar that i can't tell which is which in the vid(just forza is really zoomed in)

but one thing is for sure these games(both GT:5p and forza 3) are far from graphical king you were making it out to be.not even in top 7 games of this gen imo.

Woe. Darth come on man. I expected a little more. Gameplay v gameplay or even photomode v photomode.

GT5P images are menu screen and Photomode. Forza 3 images are gameplay. Heres both in capture mode. It's pretty obvious that Forza 3 has alot more detail.

lool

i don't know what you were trying to proof but the gt5:p looks much better,,,i mean seriously look at the interior shots and say it with straight face that forza 3 looks better.It just doesn't(it might be better game though,,,but graphically gt5:P looks better)

interior in forza 3 is broken if that's all you can see from cockpit view.it's so zoomed in.

Really? Now can we stop the silly talk?

Yea, there both zoomed in too much for my taste.  I noticed this on the GT5 videos from TGS too.  Really, NFS got the interior camera right.

EMULATION is the past.....NOW.......B_E_L_I_E_V_E

forza3 looks more cartoonish I think.

^ Yeah, I somewhat agree. It's the shaders though. It makes some of the places look too shiny or dark.

At least in GT5:P, the cars don't seem to float on the road. But the environment is still A LOT better in Forza 3.

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

That should pretty much end it.

Here's the verdict:
Cars are clearly more detailed in GT5: Prologue, and environments are more detailed in Forza 3 Demo.

Will this remain so with the final release of GT5? Who knows, Prologue released over a year ago, they've had tons of time to polish and perfect, but always have alot of other aspects to work. We'll have to wait til March.

@Selnor.
Dude whatever you say.
However the environments in FM3 are better but the actual car models and the cockpit view in Prologue edge FM3 demo out IMO.

It is better to die on one's feet

then live on one's knees

i was looking at some those comparison screen shots with my wife, and she thought they were comparing a game to a real pic....with gt5 being the real pic.

from what i saw it wasn't very close. the forza shot had very noticeable jaglines. i think i prefered the forza scenery, but the cars were nowhere near as smooth and realistic looking.

Having played FORZA, and from my past experiences with GT5 P, I agree, the environments in FORZA are some of the best ive seen in a racing game, (not impressive, but they are very good racers generally never have those graphics environmentally), but the cockpit view by far GT5 P suprasses it in detail, the gameplay they are both somewhat slow, I was expecting arcade Forza, but destructoid fooled me.. Im shocked by there article, the actual car GT5P seems alot more detailed, but forza is good. Im just saying it off playing FORZA 3's demo, and my experiences with GT5 P (I wish I could play GT5 P but my slim doesn't allow me..)

I'm inclined to agree that the cars in GT5 will edge it out ( apart from the undercarriges ;) ). But surely the tracks matter as well for the whole graphical experience? Without the tracks theirs nothing for the cars to race. Problem is Forza 3 is quite a step ahead in environment graphics. Of which I give the overall nod to Forza 3. I guess thats what Distructoid thought to.

The cockpit view is broken because it's zoomed in making it easier to see the road as opposed to stuff that doesn't matter like the hands and steering wheel? It's obvious some of you guys have never played a broken game in your life because you quite frankly don't have a clue what the word "broken" means.
