Forums - Gaming - Capcomaton : Street Fighter 4, Lostplanet PS3, dark void, Wii Love Golf

It seems logical that Dark Void would be for the Wii, due to Capcom's success with RE4: Wii Edition. Unless it was a long-term project, in which case it'll probaby be PS3/360.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

I doubt that We Love Golf is done by the same team as Everybodys Golf.Thats propierty of Sony .For what I heard before it is done by Camelot ,of Mario Golf fame .

Some history lesson :

The first EG ( minna no golf ) was developed by Camelot . Then Clapz made the other sequel of EG until today.

Good to hear Lost Planet is finally coming to PS3 ,although I would have prefered Dead Rising .

As for Dark Void I hope it is a next gen game with some solid production values and that Capcom dont do again the "developing for the next gen is expensive so we will launch a cheapo Wii game " .

Streetfighter 4 would be great ,though .

That's a very biased view. If games like God of War 2 can be hailed as beautiful, high production value, hardcore games, what stops the wii that is more than twice as powerful to somehow be incapable of a game with production values?

Honestly, More companies will be putting "cheapo" games on wii. The videogame audience hasn't expanded demonstrably in the past two years, but production costs have sky rocketed due to so the so called "next gen" systems. Making a game for 30 million dollars doesn't suddenly make it sell three times more copies than it would have on a 10 million dollar budget. And as we're also learning, it doesn't make it a better game. Ridiculous production values didn't make Lair, or stranglehold awesome titles. Actual ingenuity and skill on the developers parts makes games good, throwing money at them does nothing.

Your statement is ridiculous, and shows your extreme bias.

The only really interesting thing on that list is a new Ace Attorney game. I haven't been excited about a Street Fighter game in a long time since they just keep remaking the same exact game with a new adjective for the longest time (see the last game on the list), Lost Planet has been out for too long to care if it's coming out again, I had already thought everyone knew about Wii Love Golf, and I don't care about new IP until I can see something that actually makes me want to like it.

No, that Ace Attorney game isn't interesting it's bad.  It killed the franchise.  In Japan the game was massively rejected and there were huge influxes of returns with people asking for their money back.  Anyone who has imported the game in America says it took all the great plot established in the Phoenix Wright trilogy and destroyed it completely.  Phoenix Wright fans are strongly advised to NOT BUY THIS GAME AT ALL COSTS.

Not much newsworthy, just Street Fighter 4 and Dark Void. They could have at least given a platform for Dark Void, though.

Wii Love Golf and Apollo Justice were already known about. Lost Planet is so old I don't really see this as being a big deal, and the 500th version of SF2 isn't helping.

I wanted more, Capcom.

Well, while Capcom fans may be happy, PS3 fans over at ps3fanboy.com are still upset with Capcom.

To paraphrase:
A port does not make up for loss of exlcusivity of RE5 and DMC4, and total loss of MH3.

Thus, unless Dark Void is PS3 exclusive...
