Forums - Microsoft - How are Zune HDs doing in your area?

The ZunePass plus the Zune's WiFi makes for an amazing music discovery machine. Songs can be browsed, listened to, and downloaded right from the Zune. And the ZunePass makes it like a buffet. Click on an artist you like, find related artists, and start listening.

Well when I have an HDTV and most of my friends do to, taking HD video in my pocket to all their houses sure looks and sounds a lot better than taking standard def video and playing it on an HDTV. Plus free HD Radio tuner built in is a nice touch :)

The 'HD' in the Zune is a bit misleading.  iPod Touch actually has a better resolution.  My vote is for the iPod Touch.

The one actual HD thing that the Zune HD does is output video in 720p to an external screen. The iPod caps out at 480p. If you're really buying your pocket media player to plug into a friend's TV, and pixels matter to you, buying a Zune does make some sense.

Personally, I'm going to keep buying SD media as long as it's cheaper and takes up less space.

Oh ok.  I didn't know about that.  At any rate, an HD movie is anywhere for 3-5 GB a piece.  So if you buy a 16GB Zune HD, enjoy your 3-5 movies and nothing else on your Zune.  Or 6-10 movies on your 32GB and nothing else.

ZunePass is a good idea.  I don't think Apple is hurting by not offering something like that, but it is a good deal if you listen to a lot of new music.

I would get the Zune. When my ipod broke Apple just wasn't that helpful.

And I make most of my purchases on how the customer service is. That's why I go for Microsoft everytime

i would get the zune HD

Well...both the Zune and the Touch are sexy beasts, so it's going to be a tought call. I've waited this long, so I can wait another month, to pull the trigger on one or the other. While I'm leaning to the Zune, due to the XBL integration, I still am lusting over that 64GB Touch. Maybe with the competition heating up, one of them will offer free bennies that will tip me in one direction.

Ive got my 32 Hd on order and cannot wait! I hope there is more Live integration with the HD.

If not, Ive got the best Media player on the market. I hope they improve the apps selection quickly...if not, Ive got the best media player out there.

Life without itunes is what would sell me the Zune.
