Actually the fact that they denied it may mean that it might be true. A couple of hours ago they released a statement saying "We don't comment on rumors and speculation". Which they usually do. Why are they now going back and downright denying it?

I have long looked past corporate PR. Look at Wall Street and notice - notice how respected news outlets like Reuters, Wall Street Journal and other financial institutions are talking about it. For them to report on it has a lot more credence than just random blogs.

That's a shame really. Microsoft could really use a nice chunk of good exclusive franchises and buying EA would have given them many awesome ones. Like Dante's Inferno, Mirror's Edge, Dead Space, Road Rash, Madden and so on. Sure it would hurt Sony and Nintendo but what buyout doesn't? Sony and Nintendo both have a huge number of great exclusive franchises. Microsoft would just be evening out the playing field a bit more.

Dude, that quote was in the original article, btw. And it's just a standard PR denial - like Sony's PR denied the price cut, as well as MS denied price cuts to the Elite.

Believe experts on this - Wall Street, Reuters, Bloomberg. If they report it, I'll believe them over a PR clown.

even if it was true, for guys who think titles like madden and fifa would be exclusive, i would seriously would doubt that the nfl and fifa would allow this as they would probably be something in the contract that makes them put it out on most systems
