i thought people throwing their wiimotes into their tvs was the dumbest thing i'd ever heard. i also hate the fact that Nintendo completely had to change the way the wiimote is represented in marketing now, it always has to be in that stupid jacket. really, it just makes me glad to count myself among those that are smart enough to not have to put a retard helmet on their wiimote.

I haven't played much of the full motion based games recently (Wii Sports and such) I put the jacket on because it feels comfier, and as my palms tend to sweat when playing some games (generally online when I am trying to do better than other people) it protects it from that.

Wii Sports and now Tiger Woods 10 I am comfortable not adding the straps for myself, but if I am playing with family/friends I generally put them on.

It's people's choice to take it off or not, but it has to be in the marketing else Nintendo could get sued when some tool let's fly a standard-mote and it kills a dog or something.

this is exactly why i hate the stupid things. because of some idiots who don't understand physics too well, the wiimote just has to look retarded in all the commercials. i just think it was meant to be played without

I don't use any form of protection. I just end up getting annoyed when I don't feel free. There is potential risk but I am well willing to take it. It has been two and a half years now and I feel that if anything bad was going to happen it would have happened by now. To tell you the truth, I've never even got the rubbers, even when they were handed out for free. I am fairly certain the feeling is not the same; and I feel if I wanna play that it should be uninhibbited. My fiancée isn't as supportive, she constantly worries that I am being too reckless, this often leads to me being left alone to play with my Wii by myself. On the topic of Motion Plus: I have a dongle and she doesn't!

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I don't even know where my rubbers and straps are, to be honest.

I despite both the Wiimote rubber and the wrist strap. They just clutter up the Wiimote. The less useless crap on my controller the better. In fact I should probably just remove the strap altogether from the Wii Remote, as it just gets in the way when I am in the heat of my Wii gaming wagglefests.

I am not 7 years old nor am I an idiot so I don't think I have to worry about the controller slipping out of my hands and breaking my TV.

Well I use the wriststrap almost all the time, the condom, not so much. 'Cos I have these rechargeable batteries in my remotes, and they won't fit in the charger with the condom on. And I find it too much of a hassle to keep putting them on and taking them off all the time.

I play it in all ways. I even like the condoms because they make the wiimote bigger. But they are not really neccessary. I usually put them on when I want to play Wii Sports Resort (or some other Motion+ game) and I take them off, if I need to put them in my Gun-cases for House of the Dead: Overkill (or some other "Lightgun"shooter.)

PS: Dual-Wield-Mode in House of the Dead: Overkill with two "Wii-Pistols" is awesome.

I use the jacket. Feels nicer than that the Wii Remote alone. I have 2 Wii MotionPlus Accessories but I always take them out when I'm playing a game that doesn't need them because WM+ uses more power.

Pixel Art can be fun.
