No it wasn't.  Only the fanboys hyped it up.  Sony will never have a FPS game to beat Halo in sales only, just like MS will never have a game to beat Gran Turismo.

LOL....The Whole GT5 thing is a whole nother thread...

And let's wiegh things out...After years of FPS games on PC....while Ps1 and Ps2 were out...out comes this Console FPS that proves the market for it on consoles...Followed by CoD and some ports...Oh I get it....Sony is just testing the market...they are kinda late...

That's right because no FPS came out on PS or PS2.  Wrong.  Hell, Doom was ported to SNES back in the day.

These were the preorder numbers for the last two weeks:

2 Halo 3: ODST X360 1,210,990 214,504 2
1 Halo 3: ODST X360 1,349,189 138,199 1

So that means an additional 150,000 or so who did not preorder bought it day 1? Anyone know if that is typical?

No one in their right mind thought Killzone could outsell ANY Halo. That said, there were many a person who said thet Killzone 2 would be teh Halo & Call of Duteh Killah. But that just supports my first statement....



GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.
