Why even put these games against each other like this? I swear, people TRULY forgot what gaming is all about .Both games are fun. Both games sold well, although Halo will always sell better than Killzone (even though it's still irrelevant).
And before you pull the "we're on a sales site" card, I'm aware of that, and like that this site tracks sales. I just don't see this as useful, in fact, I see it as abusing the site's purpose in the first place. This thread was not made with good intentions.

Why not?...They are both FPS games...
|
Point? Ok, so were Turning Point Fall f Liberty and Halo 3. Lemme guess, they're comparable too huh?
|
so you are saying Halo 3 = killzone 2
and Halo 3: ODST = fall of liberty?
That doesn't make any sense. You are basically saying ODST sucks, and Halo 3 is equal to killzone 2 even though ODST and killzone 2 cannot be compared.

* facepalm *
Errr.....what I'm saying is, just because two games are of the same genre doesn't make them comparable in sales.
If you observed my posts in other threads about Halo 3: ODST, you'd know that your assumption is bull crap.

Take it easy mon frere. It was not an assumption, but an observation.
Still, all of what you are saying does not make sense.. You only say THEY ARE NOT COMPARABLE (like at all) No mention of sales... Sure, you say vgchatz is a sales site, which is true. And you had better know it too, ha. But still, you are just saying they are not comparable. But even then, it is false. Fall of liberty was a bomb.. Killzone 2 sold over a million... Major firsty party title.. Online component touted.. Etc.. So I would say it IS comparable to halo is some ways.
But maybe you were just being vague on accident.

Tell me, how is Killozne 2 (salewise) comparabble to Halo 3: ODST? One is a proven franchise, the other wasn't until this year, and STILL doesn't have the brand name Halo has. One is known for HUGE openings with large lifetime sales, again the other is not and will not have anywhere near Halo's sales. One has a HUGE online community, the biggest for it's said console, the other does not. Now, you tell me, how are they comparable again?
Other people got what I was saying, look at their posts as well...

I said they are comparable in some ways:
MASSIVE FANBOY SUPERHYPE: both
Good marketing: Both
First party exclsuives: Both
Both sold over a million
Both were sequels.
You see, it goes both ways. So they are comparable in sales, since they have similarities IMO. Although I really don't know want I want you to say more, that killzone 2 bombed, or that halo 3 is just too far out of it's league *snicker*
But I will reiterate this again... YOU DID NOT MENTION SALES, YOU SAID THEY WERE NOT COMPARABLE AT ALL.
And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.
