It's a real pity that Polyphony dont use normal game engine. As side by side gameplay is significantly better on Forza 3.

2nd post down. Why do Polyphony add effects and resolution to photomode and replays. And there is even CGI in in almost all of their Ferrari tribute. Notice it says by the makers of Gran Turismo? and nothing about Gran Turismo 5???

Also the Forza 3 video is not a tribute to one Ferrari car. It's a video for the new DLC coming in December which is a Ferrari package.

I concur with you NJ5.  Anyway, until recently, Microsoft made game makers make games at 720p resolution.  There is no such minimum standard for Sony and MAY actually be upconversions from lower resolutions.  (no hate intended)

The quality of the second video seems worse to me which in itself makes a comparison difficult but for my mind the direction of the GT5 video is also superior. So on the basis of these points i would have to say that the GT5 video looks better.

Whether either of these clips are representative of the final build of their respective games remains to be seen.

@sully1311 - microsoft is also akin to this practice.  Whenever you play games in 1080 i/p it is actually an upconvert from 720 (unless the game is coded for 1080).  Example, The Last Remnat is 720p on Xbox 360 and when you play it in 1080, you can clearly see that it is an upconvert.  Also, the frames really don't drop as much as you would expect when rendering in a higer res.
