I'm not very happy about him doing this. As much as I like Colbert, the people who're going to vote for him are the type who definitely wouldn't be voting republican, and will be sorely needed to get someone who isn't a chimp in the White House.

No wait, he won't actually make a difference in the end unless he's one of the top 2 candidates in either party, right? I suppose I can just sit back and watch the show then. =P

I wasn't going to vote republican or democrat (dislike them both greatly).

I'll be 18 soon so I will be votin, Colbert FTW!

I love and hate how serious many of you and my friends are about Colbert's campaign.

I mean, do you really think he's serious? This is just Colbert the personality seeing how far he can go for fun...I didn't think this many people seriously thought he's serious...

I think he's seriously running, but doesn't want to win. And I couldn't be happier. The Daily Show and the Colbert Report have been the best thing that's happen to political reporting in years if not decades. I don't see how pushing that criticism into the actual electoral process could be a bad thing.

Colbert has testes the size of many small nation-states.

 You do know that in real life Stephen Colbert is a raging liberal, right?  The Colbert Report is a satirical take on douchebags like Bill O'Really and Rush Limbaugh.  He says these grandiouse and ludicrous things because the conservative pundits do the same, day in and day out.  I can't wait until a Dem runs the White House again.  We'll finally get this country back on track and reverse the last 8 years on lunacy that the Bush Administration has plunged us into.

If anyone seriously votes for him based on his solid conservative values... I'm just glad they weren't in Ireland when a modest proposal was written.
