The net is touting the PS3 Slim the salvation of SONY. Do you agree? Do you agree that this cheap looking piece of plastic will solve something? I am owner of the first release PS3 60GB in europe (the one which still supports PS2 games,  but only with half of chips compared to japanese release version) and this model was basically the one I would always want to buy again. Having 4 USB Ports, which is already not enough, but at least I do not need an ugly USB Hub attached. The HDD I replaced already with a 320 GB. The Design was best with the piano black and the real chrome finish. Also I use quite often the Card reader to view my digicams pictures. It had really a decent finish and did look like a cheap piece of plastic (X)Box. And now SONY has also made an ugly Plastic (X)Box. This is now the holy grail, I don't know....

Every time Sony is cutting the price the PS3 comes with less....

Sony domination is here not only sales wise but the activity of Sony fans on the internet seems to have at least doubled since the Slim was announced, while most Xboys are hiding like mouses inside their caves.

I never considered the Xbox a cheap piece of plastic, and neither do I consider the Slim to be that. Maybe your like the nitwits that made the overpriced unnecessary expensive blingbling toaster, arrogantly thinking all people are as conceited as they are. They were proven wrong, Sony is in third place and they deserved it, up until they ditched that device that thinks it can walk in the footsteps of the PS2. The PS2 wasn't like the PS3, it was like the PS3 Slim and no doubt that Sony will finally book some results that they can be proud of. When they were talking about how great the PS3 was then it was as if they were talking about their useless spoiled fatkid, things are different with the Slim. Salvation? Maybe a but too much, but regular saviour, possibly.

What's the big deal in USB ports ?

Easy:

USB 1: PS3 Eye

USB 2: Guitar Hero 3 Controller 1

USB 3: Guitar Hero 3 Controller 2  (GHWT Controllers can be chained, GH3 not)

USB 4: Charging / USB Cable or external Harddisk
