Forums - Nintendo - Real Life Professor Layton Solving Puzzles Across The Country

Even though "Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box" is out in the wild, Nintendo isn't giving up on bringing the puzzles to the masses. As a means of promoting the game, they'll be sending a representative dressed up as the one and only puzzle professor, to cities across the country.

If fans manage to find Layton Lookalike, they'll be asked to solve a puzzle. Solve it correctly and they'll have a chance to win a copy of the game. Nintendo will also have a site promoting his excursion, giving out hints of where to find the Professor.

Here's his schedule, which starts this Wednesday:

• Wed., Sept. 23: Minneapolis
• Fri., Sept. 25: Miami
• Tues., Sept. 29: Boston
• Wed., Sept 30: Seattle

If you manage to spot Layton in one of these cities, let us know in the comments. Personally I'd be a little terrified if I spotted this guy wandering around the super market or (god help us) an elementary school playground, but I'm sure Nintendo will place him in appropriate and puzzle-ridden locales.

Like you commented, creeeeeeepy.

Sounds fun, though. I still need my copy.

I pictured the Prof as being older. Still it's a cool idea, my wife loves those games. I would love to find him, and see what puzzle he gives.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

Yeah, I'd thought Layton to be older and has tiny eyes.

That's so awesome. I really can't think of anything else to say.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

What are you talking about?  The real Layton doesn't even have eyes.

Probably had to use them to fill some hole somewhere in order to lower the bridge that leads to his house.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

No way, I hope he stops near my town
