I'll be getting Forza 3 since I only own a 360 (and a Wii, but I already have Mario Kart lol) so if I ever get a PS3 then I'd likely get GT5 as well.

So don't get it wrong and think i dislike GT, far from it. I will put shead loads of hours in GT5 just as i will Forza 3.
But right now we know little about GT5 other then it has 1000 cars. That is great but if those cars all play the same like Prologue then its going to be just like Prologue isnt it. We don't even know when the game is released.
If you have seen what i have said in the past i have always said the best thing Sony can do with GT5 is take as long as it needs, don't rush it, don't get it out just to combat another game, take their time and work on it to make it perfect. To many games have been rushed out this gen when they were not ready.

So i will believe what i believe, and what i believe is based on the past few incarnations GT has not been as good as it has been in the past.
I think GT5 will be at least a year away here anyway.

THAT IS SUBJECTIVE. Why do you have a hard time understanding that, why?

As for reviews, you should have said that in the beginning, that reviews, at least as of late, have preferred Forza. Not: "GT has been crap since 2001 and real racing fans agree with me". There's a difference in that, and if you want people to believe that the GT franchise is one that you like, such comments shouldn't exist in your posting.

I've made plenty of sense btw, you just did as you normally do, choose to believe any-and-everything you say is factual and correct while ignoring what anybody else has to say. I've gotten used to that style of posting from you, which is why I now realize I was foolish for quoting you in the first place, you'll never admit when you're wrong.

Oh well....


Both of you won't admit when you're wrong from what i'm seeing, ugh, this argument is making my brain hurt, i get what he's saying, and i get what your saying...i hope this is the last quoted response, the "Oh well...." was a great way to end, lol.

Now OT: I saw a GT5 off-screen video on IGN just now, and i still see my biggest gripe with the Gran Turismo series...lack of speed. Let me know what you guys think.

well they got both games at TGS and guess what, everyone is saying Forza 3 is better...again

As i tried to explain but it got lost in translation by som, it does not matter how many units a game sells, it does not improve the game one bit. By selling an extra million does not add a new level to a game etc..

In the comparison Forza won on every single thing, not a close game, a clear winner.
Gran Turismo 5 has been in development nearly twice as long as Forza 3 but yet people are saying at the show Forza trounced it. Does that not say that maybe GT series is maybe not as good as we all think it is? That just maybe we have hyped it up so much ourselves that we simply expect it to be at some godlike level that ultimatly it can never reach?
As said above 2009 and at least until march of 2010 is Forza country. If GT5 comes out an improves in those 6 months beyond what it showed at TGS then it could be a contender.

Now obviously i not played both versions of the game so i must take what those who have and what they are saying on board. Right now neither game has sold 1 copy because they are not released. But as it stands right now in nearly every article on TGS comparing the two Forza 3 has come out looking better.

That video looked very very good, sense of speed is spot on, on that video he's doing max 180 Km/h, it's not like he's reaching speeds of 300 Km/h.

Are you delusional? GT5 graphics are in a different league, Forza 3 struggles to hold it's own against GT5: Prologue, Prologue still has much better car models and looks smother than Forza 3, Forza 3 has better environments with more detail. But, compared to GT5 there is NO contest.

Forza 3 is just up to par with a 2.5 year old GT5: Prologue build.

Gran Turismo 5 is in a different league, deal with it.

 

edit: Just to make sure, I'm talking strictly graphically here. Forza 3 is probably gonna be a great racing game.

They may say its looking better,because its almost done o.O...GT5 is like 65% done,get your facts on,GT5 already looks better,and will look even better next year,just be sure to buy them both buddy and u will see what i mean...anyway,GT5 for me all the way
