Forums - Gaming - Would You Buy A New Console From A New Company?

Would you?

And who do you think will make one if another company joins the market? Apple, Sega, Activision, Electronic Arts, Inte, IBM

I would depending on the company. I wouldn't want to from Sega or Electronic Arts, because I think these two companies would have the hardest time supporting a console

Sega only, but it would be a risk due to what happend to dreamcast... but Sega games would be exclusive and that alone makes it worth it.

....SEGA WILL RISE FROM THE GRAVE! THEY SHALL RULE THIS WORLD WITH AN IRON FIST! ALL SHALL PLAY SONIC TILL THE END OF TIME!

So yes I would buy a Sega console in a second...

Former something....

the closest one to buy is Sega :-p

Perhaps if it got some games worth it, but I wouldn't buy it simply because I trust the company.

edit:  Basically it would have to end up with some awesome amazing JRPG's and then I'd give it some definite thought.

...

Nope.

A new Sega console would have all Valkyria Chronicle Games as Exclusives, aswell as all coming Phantasy Star Games.

Well, I see it like this.

Intel- Is known for it's great processors. It also has its own game studios. Though I am sure they would be a lot worse than Microsoft with its 'Consoles Exclusives'

IBM- It has a large amount of money, and it makes the cells for both the PS3 and the X360. So they should hypothetically make a powerful, yet relatively cheap console

Apple- Has already shown that they can release a competitive console. They can aslo make their console just like the Macs to make it easier for developers to develope games for it.

Sega- They are now owned by the Sammy corporation. And Sammy can easily make a new console. They would also have a large amount of exclusives.

They have to have a bunch of killer apps for me to consider buying it.

I mean, if it has a few good games, I wouldn't feel like it. I would feel safer with an established brand, so I would know it gets at least a few game support.
