Good list, personally I would get rid of SF4 and put in BlazBlue.

I thought Killzone 2 was great but didn't like RE5. It just wasn't a good RE game at all.

i agree with this list although like most others here I believe Infamous deserves to be on here. Also, I would have SFIV drop near the bottom and RE5 pushed into the top 4 though. Having actually played every game on this list but monkey island and shadow complex (will soon!) I can actually agree hands down on number 1 altough batman is right next to it.

I actually kind of agree with you here. RE5 was not a good Resident Evil game, it was just so much damn fun! I really want to see them remake Zero, 1, 2, 3 and Code Veronica (heck might as well do 4 while you're at it) with the RE5 engine, but keeping just about everything else the same. Little to no ammo, ZOMBIES!, things actually jumping out at you, scary environments, etc. The over the shoulder view worked for Dead Space, Capcom could pull this off!

It really shows how back-loaded the year is, though, in that i think of all those titles, only one of them is really going to be a big awards contender (not just overall GotY, but in categories like best in genre, best tech, whatever), and that's Arkham Asylum

Of course, that's me projecting what the gaming media is going to decide. I think it's a quite solid list already.

On a flagship year in handheld gaming for both the PSP and DS, they still get shafted for average console games on a year everyone has called lackluster for them. Also the list is missing Madden 2010, but who am I kidding. No matter how good a sports game ever is, it wouldn't dare end up on one of these lists.
