"Good stuff" ? it barely outsold the Wii on sony's best market and needed multiple price cuts to do it...

Besides, it will drop off very quick IMO

I'd wait a few weeks before you start celebrating, also it only outsold the Wii in "others" and a few random places in Europe-- not that huge of a milestone.

Now it finally breaking 5 million, that's noteworthy.

Yeah... now the PURSS 3 is gna outselll every week for teh nex 3 yrs...

To be fair, that's pretty decent sales and it's good 2 c the competitiveness coming out in Sony, after all without strong competition the PS3 wouldn't be this price, I'm glad the 360/PS3 can outsell the Wii at times and slow it's hype because it means nintendo will get off their ass and work on making new good games which will be good for me... =) .... see competition makes things better...

Maybe sales will drop but it doesn't seem likelly they drop in October since with only 3 days of price drop/bundles sales increased 250%.

Also, Ratchet is comming up soon and in November we get Uncharted, Haze, Assassin's Creed, etc.

Then it's Christmas time... so I hope sales don't drop by much until the end of the year

And next year we get KZ2, MGS4, LBP, GTAIV, GT5Prologue, U3 all scheduled for the 1st quarter (but I doubt they all come out in the 1st quarter) and should be able to help to keep PS3 sales up

So I expect PS3 sales to keep going up all the way into the 2nd quarter of 2008. We will see :)

 At least it kicks the people on these forums that said the PS3 wont sell 5 million before Black Friday in the nuts.

Looks like a replica of the 03/23 "earthquake".
Obviously when you change the minimum price from 599€ to 399€, that makes a lot of people who couldn't afford it before go and buy it. Moreover, it looks like a lot of people bought the 60GB bundle right after the price cut to be sure to get it before it's exhausted.
That makes me think that the sales will drop sharply in the next couple of weeks.
