I said that 8 seem to be the new average, thats right.

Then i quoted THE REVIWER saying that HE FELT, that bungie had lied about this being a completly new game. MY QUESTION WAS... well read above where i quoted Zenfoldor.

Awesome review guys! And IGN is one of the few sites that I put a lot weight on their reviews. Still, while I don't disagree with the overall score, I've got to argue with the 9 for graphics. The graphics are absolutely aged and sub par and while the art direction is great, it's not 9 worthy. I mean it's not something like muramasa: the demon blade, prince of persia or something so amazing as to merit a 9. And being criticized for being short with only one new game mode, I can't help but think anything over an 8 for lasting appeal is rediculous also. I definately see this game as one of those that is greater then it's sum and could see them giving it a 9 still but I just can't understand those undeserved 9's. Either way. Great job! :)

The price will hurt the reviews for this game.

I don't know. I played Wolfenstien 2-3 weeks ago and this campaign is on par with that lengrh wise and even more fun and interesting...plus it has firefight and best online around.

Oh, I went back and re-read the Halo ODST review.  Where did the reviewer quote that he felt that Bungie had lied about the game being a completely new game.  I couldnt find THAT part.....  Perhaps you could copy and paste it up for me........cough......my eyesight isnt what it used to be.

And you didnt even realize that my whole case was based on the 8.7 score, and IGNs review dosent even have that in their final words, and they dont have a Innovation rating either.
