Just because it was vastly underestimated doesn't mean this isn't the kind of game that many people could latch on to. I had that strong feeling that this would be more than just a 200k-500k seller for one reason alone - it steps out of the norm for video games.

Believe it or not, many games like this actually have the opposite effect of what people think it will do. Very much like the Wii, HR did what it did because it was fresh, innovative, and fun.

In the end, it was simply underestimated.

I'm guessing you meant UC3 there.  But I do agree, we will continue to have these kinds of threads and "victories."  Some people just can't comprehend that the PS3 can sell games, even when the numbers show the attach rate isn't that far from the 360.  It's in the same line of thinking that EVERY financial quarter that Sony reports, they are stuffing the channels with unwanted PS3s, even though that is competely impossible.

People only buy the PS3 for Blu-rays.  People don't get it for games.  (I remember Madskillz always saying that, lol).

Sony overships and stuffs the channels.  They shouldn't be worried about imports being held in Europe because they have millions upon millions of PS3s on shelves to sell from stuffing the channel this whole time.

Get it in your head.

A PS3 exclusive and 500K should be out of question now. Even demon's souls did 1 million so pretty much every PS3 exclusive (other than the JRPGS) should do easily 1 million.

Even Yakuza 3 did a million didn't it? lol.

lol I'm going to try and find them. I've been a lurker here for years, i'm sure back when you signed up you were extreneky pro Sony and wouldn't take critisicm. In fact I'm sure there was this time (at band camp) where a member called you out on a statement and you went nuts and said "don't talk to me" or something...

 

Maybe I'm loopy an it was someone else, it's always troubled me because when you post now you're one of the most balanced and staight up people here.

I was under the impression it played pretty much the same as Indigo Prophecy.
