There's more to be revealed about Left 4 Dead 2, apparently. At the Penny Arcade Expo, Left 4 Dead 2 writer Chet Faliszek told us there's another game mode that Valve will be announcing in October. Faliszek wasn't able to tell us exactly what the new game mode is, but he was able to pass on some hints that should get players talking.

"I'll just say that it's competitive," said Faliszek. "So it's 8 players -- survivors and infected. It's not just a survival mode versus [each other], it's something entirely different. We wanted to make a quick game mode you can kind of jump in and have some fun. It's the competitive mode of choice right now at Valve, so the teams get pretty competitive about it, some grudge matches. Some different strategies that only exist in this game mode come up. There's a lot of theories on which way to play is the best."

Any theories on what Valve's teasing? Left 4 Dead 2 will be shown in some capacity at Tokyo Game Show next week, but it's unclear if there will be anything different than what was on display at PAX. If there is, you can be sure we'll pass on the details.

so.. its pretty obvious

Nice to see they are added more stuff to the game.

imagine a mod where u have a pool of non infected NPC that can be either

- saved and armed with weapon

- infected and turned as zombie

Imagine that infected can infect them and that survivors can save them and that both are competing to get the most of them.

U have a sort of big war : Survivor army vs Infected army.
