In equal conditions western shooters sell better on the 360 and J-games sell better on the PS3, other games it depends on the situation, like Assassin's Creed, GTAIV, Fifa, Madden and Batman Arkaham Asylum for example... Exactly.  Pretty much the only multiplat games that sell better on PS3 are soccer games, Japanese games, games from developed Sony franchises that just now are getting an MS console release, and the rare exception like some random racing game.  All others sell better on 360 including shooters, RPGs, racing games, true football games (american football), etc.

There are always rare exceptions.

the RPG fate will change after the release of ToV and FF13 and more upcoming games, and true football is not true, I love football but the name says football (true football is soccer) outside the US soccer is the most popular sport world wide.

Burnout Paradise is a racing game and it sold more on PS3, so it doesn't work either.

Like I said, you can spin news game after game, but on the whole, PS3 games are just selling better and better.

I bet if the ps3 and 360 had similar userbases, the x360 version will still sell more

@pristine : that's a stupid bet, since even now with 8 million more 360 installed, PS3 versions of multiplats are often outselling 360 versions worldwide.

Or are you talking only about Modern Warfare 2 ? If so, I agree. Shooter fans are mostly on 360.

MW2 will sell more on PS3...if all PS3 owners have 360 controllers that can use them on PS3 and LIVE on PS3. If you own both consoles and buy MW2 for only PS3 then you are 99% Japanese :)

XBOX LIVE is the reason to buy MW2. Without XBL I really don't see a reason to buy most FPS games.

I own both consoles and I'll buy MW2 on PS3. I won't pay for playing online when I can play the same game for free.

I'm not Japanese, by the way.
