Forums - Microsoft - Halo 3 ODST is not fully priced game in Europe

Just want to draw your attention to the fact that in Europe ODST is not priced as full game.

ODST Amazon UK price: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Halo-3-ODST-Xbox-360/dp/B001KBYU0Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1253262943&sr=8-1

Still in US it priced like full retail game.

ODST Amazon US Price: $59.99 http://www.amazon.com/Halo-3-ODST-Xbox-360/dp/B001HWB68K/ref=pd_ts_vg_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames

Forza 3 Amazon US: Price: $59.99 http://www.amazon.com/Forza-Motorsport-3-Xbox-360/dp/B002BSA2LQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1253263524&sr=1-1

In Russian ozon.ru ODST sold for 2/3 price of Batman AA game

http://www.ozon.ru/context/detail/id/4677071/

http://www.ozon.ru/context/detail/id/4646549/

Looks like in US your are paying more because of the Halo popularity (or Reach beta).

Update: Ok, looks like it normal for full retail games to be priced £39.99 on launch in UK. Still in several European countries ODST is very cheap.

KylieDog as far as I remember buying games from game.co.uk (it is cheaper then by it in Russia), new games almost always priced for £49.99 . Still I could be wrong.

At least in Russia the price for ODST is way to low, GT5P got same price, even Terminator Salvation is priced more then that right now.

That just means that for the time being Amazon.co.uk is giving a sale on the game. I wouldn't expect that price to last. I have bought new games from Amazon.ca and they have been at a discount. It seems to be pretty random.

in portugal is cheaper 15 €

I believe RRP stands for Recommended retail price which is price suggested by Microsoft.

I pre-ordered it for 40€, normally it is 55-60€

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

i have never seen a game sold for that much for a long time (-mw2). the rrp in the uk for most games is 39.99, and amazon always(well nearly of the time) discount 5-10 quid(£) off new games

Not saying you're wrong, but doesn't Forza 3 seem to be more expensive than most games?

i bought killzone 2 for £32.99 when it was first released, so having games cheaper than their RRP is not out of the ordinary
