great sales, if ToV had been a PS3 exclusive it probably would have sold at least 100 k more first week, but they probably got more cash by making it a 1 year timed exclusive for 360. Namco knows how to make money :)

I was expecting Vesperia to do a lot better. Same for SaGa 2.

Did you not read the story where the devloper explained that it made a great deal of sense to release JRPGs on Xbox 360 first? |
Didnt he also say even with the MS money they still incurred loses and are hoping the PS3 version will net them a profit? Doesn't really seem worth it

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.
Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

Yes. It seems very worth it to me. A lot better than just making a PS3 exclusive, from what I can tell.

It doesn't matter how much MS pays them, they are wasting their god damned time and effort putting JRPGs on the 360 at all, let alone as exclusives. The audience doesn't want to buy those games on 360. Even the U.S. audience isn't big on the idea, and they are far more accepting of the 360 (at best it should be multiplat). |
I have played almost every JRPG on the 360 this gen so it certainly wasn't a waste of time for me. If you wanted to play those games early you should just have bought the console they were released on. Love the games, not the systems.
Seriously, all this "PS3 is where jprgs are MEANT TO BE!" is just childish and narrow minded.
