DECEMBER

Plus there's a handful of titles like MySims Agents, Jambo! Animal Safari, and that Food Network game that might actually surprise us and be good. Oh, and let's not forget BIT.TRIP.VOID, Castlevania Rebirth, Cave Story, and whatever else Nintendo decides to release on WiiWare in that time period.

The only thing that'll be "the worst" this holiday season is the status of my bank account.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

Silent Hill
CoD 4
Mario and Sonic @ the winter olympics
FFCC:TCB !!
RE: Darkside Chronicles
PES 2010
Rabbids go Home

To this and Nintendo's titles, you can add:

Academy of Champions

Shaun White: World Stage

Sky Crawlers

Fragile (not confirmed for '09)

And tons, TONS of awesome WiiWare games.

Plus there are lots of games out before November you might catch up on, like Ju-On: The Grudge, Little King's Story, Muramasa, The Beatles, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Cursed Mountain, NHL 2k10.

I'm not even planning to buy NSMBW, and I'm completely off my 1 Wii game per month diet. Anybody who complains about the Wii's current lineup really needs to broaden their horizons. Look harder, the games are there, you just aren't seeing them.

I just took the games fro the VGChartz upcoming release section - so what I listed was just games with a confirmed release date.

I really need to buy Cursed Mountain actually

What are you talking about? New Super Mario Bros. Wii alone makes this the Wii's best holiday yet.

Agreed, this is the only game I need for the holiday season because it'll occupy most of my gaming time anyway.. A new 2-D Mario is the only instance in which I can excuse Nintendo for having only one major game coming out for the holiday, expect for maybe a new Zelda. In reality, this is the only major game Nintendo needs for the holiday season, it'll bring in the Wii sales like nothing else.. Never underestimate the power of Mario.

I do expect Nintendo to get some more big franchises pumping out starting early next year though, and I'll be very dissapointed if they don't.

If i look at the Wii, WiiWare and DS line-ups, i don't see where's the problem...

New Super Mario Bros Wii, Muramasa, Lostwinds 2, Max and the Magic Marker, Mario and Luigi 3, Zelda Spirit Tracks, Professor Layton 2, Scribblenauts, Kirby Super Star: these are the ones i'll buy for sure...

Then there's also A Boy and his Blob, FFCC Crystal Bearers, Rabbids Go Home, Spyborgs, Dead Space, Silent Hill, Cave Story, Night Sky, You Me and the Cubes, And yet it moves, La Mulana: for these, i'll first wait for reviews, and will maybe purchase some in 2nd hand...

That's a great end of the year on DS, lot of (good?) surprises on Wiiware, and (that's true) a so-so Wii line-up with only a couple of gems (and maybe a few more)...

But i shouldn't have the time to notice: a possible 20 games total, that's not bad, not bad at all... it's more than enough till the huge 2010 Wii line-up, and i don't have time/money for more anyway...

"A beautiful drawing in 480i will stay beautiful forever...

and an ugly drawing in 1080p will stay ugly forever..."

I personally think its worse at this point, I may change my mind depending on how good NSMB, Silent Hill, A Boy and his Blob, and Final Fantasy ends up. Last year was better only for the fact that I got Tales of Symphonia 2 which is my second favorite Wii game, and 3rd favorite game of this generation b/t Wii and PS3.

no one else on here really cares but my big game of the holidays is the new toshinden for wii. and ive still got quite a list of games im wanting. im not disappointed at all.

It really depends on your likes, but there is definitely more than 1 good gaming coming out.

I plan on getting Silent Hill, NSMBWii, and WiiFit+. Maybe MPTrilogy as well as a couple WiiWare games.

I would get WSR, but I refuse to buy a WM+ separately so I'm waiting for Red Steel 2 to buy them both together.

You could just buy WSR and Tiger Woods 10. That would allow you to accomplish your task sooner. Just a thought.

Note: you do not have to enjoy golf games. Just buy the game to get motion plus and sell the game back to gamestop or ebgames.

If Nintendo is successful at the moment, it’s because they are good, and I cannot blame them for that. What we should do is try to be just as good.----Laurent Benadiba
