this 100k over that, and sales in japan will remain strong or get bigger next week.

I expected a little under 300K, so it did better than I expected, the US drop wasn't as much as I thought it would be, Japan and Europe were about where I expected, I'm thinking around 200K next week

I think it is great that the PS3 is maintaining its sales momentum but there seems to be something a lot of people are overlooking.  Although I agree that there will be a big boost over the November/December holiday sales rush but I do not believe that GT5 and FFXIII are going to push the system toward any significant number.  Think of it this way, a lot of people who were already waiting for GT5 and FFXIII probably already bought the system with the news of a $100 price cut.  Then there will be those who wait until the approaching holiday season before they buy the console.  For these reasons I do not feel that GT5 and FFXIII will be significant system sellers.

This is it for sony. 299 price point.

They have all their dream software lined up accordingly.

GT - FF - Last Gaurdian - Mag - God of War - Motion

If they cant capitalize on this opportunity theyre domed.

^thats not certain but considering the system base those games pushed before.
it certain they will do it again, look of ps2 sales when GT 3 and FFX its released.

Thats what i mean.

Sony has 3 of their main franchises yet to berth on this console gen FF, GT, GoW. (FF in japan and others due to brand recognition). And theyre all lined up now with an entry price of $299. This is the perfect storm im sure sony execs have been waiting for. Its the time for their move if they play their cards right.....but as we have seen in the past, Sony could easily ruin it, haha.
