Forums - General - If White Male Country Star interrupted a young black female singer

I've hated this since...ever. Its impossible for a black guy to be considered racist even if he goes around insulting white people calling them honkey/cracker. But one slip up, even an honest mistake by a white person and he'll be declared a racist and have to make some kind of apology.

There would be non-stop coverage of  "how racist people are in this country."  The Country star would be black listed.  The offended singer would become the most promoted singer ever.  2009 would be remembered for this event.

The media is itching for a racist situation.  They keep trying to start fires with every new criticism of Obama getting the racist label.

Do you disagree?

Is it racist to only see racism in caucasian behavior towards other races?

Let me stop you right there - had this happened, there would be no need for the rest of that sentence. The sister would have dropped that fool right there, on stage, in front of a live TV audience and for the world to see. Swift was caught by surprise - but in reality, a sister would have fought him and won.

What Kanye did was just retarded. I don't think race had anything to do with that. Now, your homie Joe Wilson, well ...

What, son, what? New York, New York!!!

@Everybody who reads this topic. Don't feed the troll m'kay?

Sorry, I just read this.

So I actually read through these posts. It's awesome seeing white guys, 15-35, discussing racism. I enjoyed being entertained by this.

@Durtysouthhustlah, your posts are actually kinda racist in themselves. Instantly assuming that if the girl was black she would have punched the guy. What does skin colour have to do with that?

Because only certain people can discuss racism as if there is a special requirement.  That's a fallacy of special pleading arguing that this not be discussed simply because you don't want it to because of the people here.  And even further that is a genetic fallacy which means arguing on the basis of someone's origins rather than the argument.  Just because you don't think certain races have the capacity to discuss it doesn't make it true.

That's a fallacious argument that should be disregarded as such.  If you wish to push your side you might want to try introducing some logic into it first.

So, it racist when Joe Wilson spoke out and was rude, but Kanye is just retarded when spoke out and was rude.

Don't worry dude I've already proven that argument to be a logical contradiction if you read my first post.  Something obviously can't both be the case and not the case at the same time in the same respect.  Thus the argument is a bad one and should be disregarded.  Either both are racist or not racist and just rude and stupid.
