What I think is unbelieveable is that people insist on comparing a pay to play game with a free to play game.

CoD4 has already sold 130k on the PS3 in Japan, so yes, rerelease

So almost 2 year old 2G is already outselling 1 month old MH3? Anyway you put it, it's not good. Especially since MH3 is already discounted at most retailers...

Easy on the damage control fella. Just think, if MH3 had been free to play online and those controller bundles hadn't been perma sold out, it would have sold so much better...

Indeed it would have, and yet it would have decreased the total profit made on the game. Capcom are smart businessmen (and women). they decided that even though it would reduce unit sales, making it pay to play would increase profit

Do you think free online wouldn't have helped sales?

Personally I'm interested the game, I'll definitely buy it if online is free in the west - and definitely not if it isn't.
