Forums - Nintendo - Fl!p's Twisted World: New screens looking much improved

This looks to be a pretty decent action/platformer coming from Majesco in Q1 2010. The distinctive feature is that Fl!p is a wizard who can tilt the game world 90 degrees when he needs to. It's looking a lot shinier than the first chunky video I saw a while back.

This will either be fantastic or really bad. I hope for the first.
I don't know what to say about that boxart though...

looks like it'll have mario galaxy-like gameplay(i know it's not the same, but similar), which i loved, so i'll be on the lookout for this.

come try out the computer game i've been working on for my high school senior project, titled sling ball. http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=76669&page=1

This is one of my most anticipated games, it has a lot of potential!!

I agree that this is looking a lot better than the first videos. It is still going to take a lot of convincing for me to pick this game up though.

I watched Dan play through a level of this at E3. It looked kinda fun. I only saw a boss battle though. The world-rotating mechanic looked pretty awesome and could make for some great puzzles. The graphics are definitely better now.

But I'm withholding judgment until I see some non-boss puzzles in action. Looks like it'd be fun. I love stuff with world-rotating, like marble games, or even just platformers with gravity-reversing boots or switches or whatever. Always a good time.

Yea there is much more detail. Its probably Sonic 2D > Lord of Shadow > Twisted World but im glad to see any innovative platformers.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
