Is anyone really surprised by this?

of course it will have a 50-60% drop in its 2nd week and another 30-40% next week, until October where it will slowly start picking back up for the holidays.

Your thread is too early, that's why.  This is a site focused on tracking sales.  Sales dropping were expected by everyone not wearing a tin foil hat.  Calling out people who wear tin foil hats doesn't make you look better than them.

Also, use of caps 'DROPPING' etc doesn't help either.  Neither does the implication its clear the Slim has failed and Sony is doomed to third place (no matter how politely put).

Finally, the only reason I can see to post this thread is to provoke a negative reaction - and clearly others feel the same.

PS3 sales for the week ending 12th September are expected to be ~250k.

That is ~100k more than the 360. Sales speak louder than you.

And people are still waiting for these threads you talked about...

A 360 fanboy is going to go in all happy joy mode because the PS3 slim sales dropped on its second week..... in September.

I bet you the PS3 sales will fly above 360's all year, regardless of the month.
And why don't you start making judgments when the holiday season rolls around and not the second god damn week of the launch. You have to be stupid to think the second week of the launch is going to be higher, or close to the first week sales.
I will put real MONEY down that the 360 dropped too, after it's price cut. I don't see a thread on that? Oh just because its Sony, and they did a fantastic first week, lets talk negative to them on the second week! Yeah! Because it's Sony guys!

Provoke a negative reaction? Maybe to some people, people that don't accept others ideas.

And how about all the threads created to provoke a negative reaction in 360 users? I use the 360 and the PS3. I love sales, I love this site because it talks about sales. But to be honest I hate the fact that only 360 hate/negative threads are feeling the forums.

I just don't see the point, it's a good machine JUST LIKE the PS3 and the Wii. Why all the hate? And it sales well. It just makes me mad.

I just want to talk in a polite way about sales, but sometimes it seems impossible.

Back to the thread anyways, sales are dropping and will continue to drop. What do you think SONY must do if it wants to secure a 2 or even 1 place?

I agree with Reasonable and unreasonable as he may sound to you that you simple have posted this two soon. We need more time to find out at what point the numbers rest.

First weeks sales were incredibly high so the fall is greater. They are still massively above a normal week.
