Microsoft paid for timed exclusivity in their attempt to take Japan.
It's not working very well for them but you can't say they're not trying.

Good game or not, I think this does mean I won't be buying Xbox consoles from now on if I don't hear anything about Mistwalker this TGS. It was good with MS, but I really think Sony and Nintendo cater to my tastes more as a gamer. I'm considering selling my 360 now after TGS. If stating my honest opinion like that is trolling, than I'm sorry.
"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY." --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Don't worry. The world is ending in 2012 and you won't have to experience it.

No. International means that it's the version released overseas. It features all changes and additions including the English language tracks. This has been the rule since FF7 International. If it's not based on the localized version it's not International. |
But those International versions have never had a English language track included in the Japanese release. And being that the Japanese -> American release was so short, how much is different outside of the CG art?

But why does Square Enix suddenly include the English voice acting and text? They've never done it in any International release before. Why start now?

Yes they have. They're English tracks with Japanese subs. KH, FFX, etc. did it with their International/Final Mix versions. It's the tradition and it hasn't been broken. They always use the most recent build of the game when they re-release it in Japan. The most recent builds tend to be the localized versions.

obviously...it says International for a reason( not aim at you Riku) |
The one FF International I remember seeing some footage from only had English audio with japanese text (And Dissidia International is looking like that as well). Though SO4 obviously has a lot more room on the BR disc so hopefully they get that right and NeoGAF is right about the voices and text options.
Glad I didn't think too much of the game and could wait for the PS3 release. Might get it close to Japan's release date but still depends on what's around in terms of new games at that time.
