33.8 million (Canada) + 307 million (US) = 341 million and growing, which is what America is largely considered on this site.
Japan = 127 million and falling.
307/127 = 2.42
America = About 2.4 times the size.

I see. However, what they think will happen does not mean it will happen for sure. When was the last time Sony made their target FY shipment for PS3?
MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

I beleive they hit is last year or came extremely close to it.
They hit their projections exactly last year with PS3 sales. Hit below with PS2 and PSP sales.
Although, this topic isn't Sony's projection. This is EB/MC, which are the two big tracking agencies in Japan that most of the industry follows.

Do you mean the big selling games on the PS3?
Because if you didn't, HG/SS, NSMBWii, Wii Sports Resort, Wii Fit + and DQIX will probably beat the lot of 'em.
