Forums - Nintendo - ffcc: the crystal bearers dated

Two words: Gift Cards.

A lot of people now get Gift Cards for the holidays. So S-E has decided to give them something else on which to spend their card-money.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

IMO they've done this beacuse of FFXIII...releasing the two games, even if they're on different platforms, would have killed the weaker (in this case FFCC)...but in this way I think they've done a bad thing...releasing one week before would have increased a lot the sales I think.

CURRENTLY PLAYING: Xenoblade (Wii), Super mario 3D land (3DS), Guild Wars (PC)

Interesting hypothesis, there's only one problem....

FFXIII won't be out till March in the US, and this is a US release date. :p

(In Japan they're releasing this nearly a month ahead of FFXIII)

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

aweomse, but such an odd date

Exactly. Most of my game purchases are done this way.

Sorry my bad, I thought this was the Jap date.

Good news that its coming that quickly to the US!
The date could be better but like everyone has noticed, Wii games have legs. So even though this may not have as stellar of an opening as it could have, it will still sell very well I think. ;)

well atleast it comes this this year! I don't think it's a weird release date, the day after christmas the stores are always packed with people returning/exchanging gift or using gift cards. maybe nintendo thinks the game will attract more attention this way
