Got it because I was starving for an RPG to play this gen, but found it to be pretty average overall. I can see why people really enjoyed the game, but there were a lot of subtle issues that bugged me. I definitely LOVED the canvas art-style. The battle system was pretty good, but then the time-based ranking REALLY irked me. Kinda disappointing when some missions give you better marks for running through mass fire like a moron to the checkpoints. Who you bring into battle is somewhat hampered by command points. The plot was solid, but was also hamstrung by really generic dialogue.

Nevertheless, I bought the game for 35 dollars so it was worth it IMO, just nothing mind-blowing.

You can have many kinda unique character in your army, but you won't be using but 10 max. I remember when 1 of them died...Had to restart >.<

Main character is such a wuss. Flowers etc. Not that I have big problem in most of games but..
Hes a normal guy just out of college. Most of the people in WW1 and WW2 will have been teachers, students, bakers etc. That is realism that you dont like.

And it is WAR game. Didin't feel like one bit.

I remember in around 11 mission I rly started to love it but then I took around 2 week break when I traded my Ps3 away for Wii.. Then when I got it back, boring missions and boring story started.

I think I'm about only one who thinks this way so I got my shield on.

I wont comment on the rest, its your opinion...

Well, I don't understand the complaints about realism. They drafted everyone 15 and up, and in your squad you had quite a diversified unit of individuals that were all quite different from each other.
