Got it because I was starving for an RPG to play this gen, but found it to be pretty average overall. I can see why people really enjoyed the game, but there were a lot of subtle issues that bugged me. I definitely LOVED the canvas art-style. The battle system was pretty good, but then the time-based ranking REALLY irked me. Kinda disappointing when some missions give you better marks for running through mass fire like a moron to the checkpoints. Who you bring into battle is somewhat hampered by command points. The plot was solid, but was also hamstrung by really generic dialogue.
Nevertheless, I bought the game for 35 dollars so it was worth it IMO, just nothing mind-blowing.
