Riot is absolutely right that notoriety has its disadvantages as well.

That's why I'm glad I have a reputation of being awesome, or at least that's what I keep telling myself.

I think it depends on the person with the low post count. We have a pretty big issue with trolls and alt acounts, so I'm always wary of the people with low posts that are overly agressive in their beliefs. Chances are, I have had the same discussion with them before, but now they have a different name.

Its just the way the internet works. Besides, it's not like having a massive post count is all éclairs and teacakes.

I don't ever feel like I get discriminated against for lower post counts, but maybe I post too infrequently to notice that I do :P

Actually, I'd say a low post count has its advantages too.

On a forum, you're known by your "mistakes". If you misphrased yourself, it's the misphrasing people remember, not what you really meant. I used to have an account here for a long while (3000+ posts? I'm not really sure), but on that account, I said a few somewhat silly things. As a result, there was somewhat of a prejustice against anything I said. People seemed to think I said it under some secret agenda.

It wasn't really that bad, many people here have far worse prejustice against them, so the intent isn't to complain about that. The longer you're here, the more people see the person posting, than what they post.

And when you're wrong, there's nothing wrong with having someone step in and say "hey, give him a break - he's new"

I fink this is a valid thread. We all should be nice to small post count posters and listen to what they have to say.
